Hamburger Buns!

Finally, a posting that is not about potty.
I recently got this recipe and it is not only easy and fast, but very good!

Hamburger Buns
2 Tbs yeast
1 c + 2 Tbs warm water

1/3 c veg. oil
1/4 c sugar

1 egg
3 to 3 1/2 (+) flour
1 tsp salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil and sugar and let sit for 5 minutes. Add egg, flour and salt. Mix to make soft dough. Knead for 3 to 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Divide into 12 balls. Rolls smooth and place on greased cookie sheet 3" apart. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Bake at 425 for 8 -12 minutes until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

Although I haven't tried this yet, I think you could easily brush the tops of the buns before cooking and top with dried onions, sesame seeds, or even cheese. Sounds good huh?

Great for hamburgers, sloppy joes, egg sandwiches for breakfast, and so on... you may want to make a double batch and freeze them!
