Westward Ho!

It's 10:30pm and I'm sitting my parent's basement in Colorado with the whole family. Half of us are in our pajamas, we've got popcorn and are watching the movie Bolt (better than Goonies, the first pick. Not exactly 3 year old material). Marlie and Aubrie are both wide awake - having been in bed once already. Gotta love tornado season! After the hail stopped we decided to start the bedtime routine again. Not my favorite time of day and I got to re-live it all over again. But no tornado and our car got little damage. Ya. During our 1st bedtime of the night Marlie randomly prayed that there would be no tornado tonight. I thought it was funny since she had no clue that there were tornadoes in the forecast. Thanks girl!

We went to Colorado, took a break for a few days and then my Mom and the girls and I took a trip up to Utah to meet the newest member of our family - my nephew Porter! We had lots of fun seeing lots of family and friends. Did lots of driving. Too many days of driving in Utah will cause you to drive like a maniac! Someone should warn you about that! 'If you don't drive like a maniac like the rest of traffic, you'll likely die!'  It was lots of fun. We got to take the girls to Temple Square with my grandparents. I really enjoyed that. I'd also like to thank Garmin for getting me from place to place. What did people do without GPS?!

Back in Colorado now, Marlie is begging to go home. She just misses our daily routine. I don't blame her. Two weeks is a long time to be away from home. I just need a few more days... and I'm really not looking forward to another 13 hours in the car. Our 8 hour trip to UT seemed SO do-able in a day. I groan at the idea of adding 5 more hours!!! Regardless, here's the last 2 weeks in pictures... so far.

Four generations: My mom's mom, my mom, Effie and I, and our kids!

Hail from our fun storm... the next morning!

We're headed back home-ward in a few days... more pictures to come soon - we had family pictures taken by our favorite photographer! He he, I can hardly wait!
