Rapunzel, Rapunzel...

... Cut down your long hair!

One of our favorite movies is Tangled. All of us. Love it. I was toying with the idea of cutting Marlie's hair for summer. It is getting quite long. Knowing that we were headed to visit my parents soon - Grandma cuts hair - I asked Marlie what she thought about the idea of getting her hair cut. Aside from trimming her bangs, she's never had her hair cut. Those curly locks are baby hair! (Aww... mommy moment) This was her reply:

"Mommy, do you remember when Eugene took the piece of glass and cut off Rapunzel's hair and it was just short? I need to get my hair cut just like this (with chopping action) so I can be like Rapunzel. My hair is just getting too long!"

That settles it. I debated and stewed for a few days... you know the scene in Tangled when Rapunzel leaves the tower... "I can't believe I'm doing this!!! ... I can't believe I did this."

(Sorry, you are going to have to stand on your head for now - computer crashed and I can't make these pictures the right direction! Hate it when that happens!!!)

I miss the cute long curls... but I'm liking the short hair. Marlie asked me before going to bed last night when her hair was going to grow back. She wants it back. In time. But it will be great for summer! More cute pictures coming soon! We are getting family pictures taken tonight... Yeah!
