It's How HOT outside?!

I love summer-even when I'm pregnant. Anyone who knows me knows that. But no one loves 112. No one. At that point it mind as well be 150! Forecast is calling for rain showers this afternoon. How can you have rain when it's that hot?! They should say "chance for steam this afternoon".
As I was walking into Walmart today, I passed a green puddle in the parking lot. It had a crayon label on it. Yup. The crayon hit the ground and melted down flat. Seriously - that's hot!

I'm just complaining really. The AC in my car can't keep up when it's that dang hot outside, so I'm just grumpy. And sweaty. But thank my lucky stars we have adequate AC inside our home. That's what counts. I assure you, I'd be much grumpier if that was not the case. And while I'm complaining, toddler swim is over. The hottest week of the year and we can't go to the public pool - well, not without the rest of the town of Branson and paying full price. Poor Marlie asked me last night if we could go swimming today. I told her they didn't have toddler swim any more and she about lost it. So I told her what I'd been telling myself...(the world is still spinning). We can still go to the lake. And that is free (other than gas for the boat). We are all for that- even Briea. We were out Monday evening and I kicked myself the whole time for forgetting my camera. Beautiful sunset on the water while Chris was skiing! Hate it when I do that.

If it could just cool off 20 degrees or so I'd be happy as a clam. Who would've thought I'd be saying that- ever?!

  1. I'm so happy to hear about pregancy number two!! Congratulations! I hope you're doing well and feeling ok, besides the terrible heat of course! It feels much hotter when your pregnant it seems. Sorry about that. I can't stand the heat and I'm not even pregnant! Try to stay in and keep cool.

  2. I am right there with you. Our a/c in the house quit on us today. I thought it was because it couldn't keep up, but it was broken. Thank goodness for quick responding help! Let's just keep reminding ourselves of this in the middle of winter!
