I seem to be just as excited about Marlie's birthday as she is. The planning, the cards, the slide show, the 6 layer rainbow cake... are you excited yet? It's a good thing I like to do this sort of thing or the stress would just kill me. The theme this year (drum roll please)... Fruit with a rainbow twist! Great fun for a spunky fruit-a-holic 3 year old huh?
Other recent activity:
It has taken me forever to put these pictures up, but finally, Marlie's "Big Girl Bed"! I think she misses her old crib. After all, she slept in that for all her life that she remembers. She tells me all the time that she doesn't like her new bed and doesn't want to take a nap or go to bed - but then again she tells me she doesn't like EVERYTHING these days. I haven't made anything for dinner in two weeks that she has "liked". She also doesn't like her teachers in nursery at church, going to the park, watching her favorite shows like "Word World", and whatever else is convenient. Can't wait for this phase to be over.
But we love her anyway. After all, who wouldn't love this...
She is really filling into her own person now. She has a favorite "something" everyday. Last week, as you can see, it was the cowgirl hat. She has books that are her favorite for days at a time. This week has been The Bernstein Bears "Trick or Treat". Current favorite shoes, her "yip-yops" or flip flops. A favorite that doesn't seem to go away is being almost nude - anytime she can get away with it. If I could get videos to work on here there would be a few videos of hilarious things she is up to now. Like how she has been practicing her snorting... yup, like a piggie. It's pretty cute actually. She worked really hard (no joke) to be able to snort. I see so much of myself in her. I just don't remember being so young with some of her same thoughts and ideas! Kids these days!

Super cute! She is so funny! We are experiencing the same independent thinking!
