Moving On

Here's to another chapter in our lives,
Here's to old friends, lessons learned & new beginnings,
Here's to faith in God!
Yes, the rumors are true...
The Giesey's are moving.

It is time for us to leave our Home in Colorado (at least for a while) to start a new adventure in Missouri. I know we said we would never go back, but you can't argue with what our Heavenly Father has planed for us.

Chris got a new job working for a company that maps underground oil lines and such for different counties in the area. He will still be doing computer programing, like he is now, but starting a new project for them. He starts the 1st of October. We are both a little excited to move to a new house and start this new job, but we will sorely miss our family, friends and all that we love here in Greeley!

You know, Greeley is such a po-dunk cow town! It smells like cows all the time (yet another thing I will greatly miss!) and it's not uncommon to see tractors driving down the road like they were convertibles! "Who wants to live in Greeley?!" we used to ask ourselves. But it has really become home to us the past 5 years we've lived here. We will miss the mountains, the stupid aspen trees that keep growing through our lawn, the dairies, the fields of corn, and so on...

But we will defiantly live it up while we are still here; you can count on that! Camping trip anyone?!

  1. What a surprise! I remember you telling me that you were ready for a change since you had been in Greeley so long. How exciting! 2009 is so the time to move and try something new. Enjoy the last little bit of time in Greeley and good luck with the move. Now people can come help you move since you guys are so good at helping others move!

  2. Oh my goodness! I can't believe you guys are moving so far away! However, I'm so excited for you! I'm sure Chris's parents are thrilled that you will be closer and that they will get to see more of that beautiful little girl of yours! Tell Chris congrats on the new job! That is so exciting! Good luck with everything and make sure to keep in touch!
