"ME"

Potty training is going well and there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. It's taking longer than anticipated (we are using the 3 day method by Lora Jensen - I would recommend it! Thanks Tiffini!) However, something about becoming a big girl has sparked something inside Marlie this week and she strongly insists that she do everything herself. "Me!" she says while pointing to her chest. Where does she get this stuff?! Someone should tell these two-year-olds that their mommies need to ease into Independence. We've been taking care of every need day in and day out for two years and you want me to quit today?! We're working on that one.

Here are the rest of the pictures as promised. I'd be lying if I said we haven't had a fun summer.

We love you Grandma! We had so much fun when you and Grandpa and Uncle Mike were here!!!
(doesn't this look like one happy dog?! Briea too loves the boat!!!)
Marlie and her cousin Shay

Marlie is the swimmin-ist little kiddo I know! She has no fear of the water and loves to splash and play and jump in! We swim at least 2 or 3 times a week between the lake, the rec-plex pool and the pool at Greaty-Grandma's house. Other than getting settled into our new house, that is pretty much what we do these days! What else do you do when it's 100 degrees with darn near 100% humidity?!
This is Marlie and her baby sporting their new 'big girl panties'!

And by popular demand... our new house. Like the trash heap in the front yard? Us too! NOT. We'd like to thank the guys who did a great job on the rock for leaving us several boxes full of concrete! But we like the house anyway and are starting to feel like we really live here now. Anyone need a house built? We're thinking about starting our own business - now that we are pros and all. He he he

  1. Okay, awesome house! And I'm sorry, but you need to post pictures of the inside as well. Standard procedure, you know. SO I was reading up on the three day potty thing and it intrigues me. It would be fun to try it, but I'm not sure when: if I do it now, will he regress after the baby is born? If I do it after the baby is born, I'm not sure I'm going to have the time necessary to do it and it may not happen for like 6 months or so...thoughts? I did get a positive response out of Linus today when I asked him if he wanted to try using the potty, but then he retracted his answer when he realized he would actually have to go with me to the bathroom to do it...such a stinker!
